tl;dr
I created the first website for Caelestis LLC, a new tech company. My goal was to build a site that would define the brand, explain their services clearly, build credibility, and generate leads. I conducted research, developed user personas, and designed a sitemap and user flows. The final design features a dark, celestial theme, logical service categorization, and a responsive layout. The project successfully launched the brand and laid the groundwork for future enhancements like a blog and client testimonials.
Caelestis LLC, a brand new cloud solutions and design company, needs to establish their inaugural online presence. The primary goal was to create a modern, intuitive, and engaging website from the ground up that effectively communicates their diverse range of services, highlights their expertise, and converts visitors into leads. As a UX Designer and Web Developer, I led the project from initial research and conceptualization through to development and deployment, focusing on a user-centered design approach.
As a new company, Caelestis LLC faced the challenge of establishing its brand identity and digital footprint from scratch. The key problems to address were:
Brand Definition: Creating a compelling visual and textual brand identity that resonates with their target audience.
Information Clarity: Designing a clear and concise way to present their complex cloud solutions and design services to potential clients who may be unfamiliar with their offerings.
Establishing Credibility: Building trust and authority as a new player in a competitive tech landscape.
Lead Generation Foundation: Implementing effective user flows and calls to action to initiate client engagement from day one.
To design and develop a responsive, visually appealing, and user-friendly website that:
Clearly showcases Caelestis LLC's expertise in cloud solutions, web development, and design.
Establishes a strong, memorable brand identity.
Improves user navigation and information discovery for a new audience.
Enhances brand perception and credibility from launch.
Increases lead generation through optimized user flows and prominent calls to action.
My process began with a thorough understanding of Caelestis LLC's business goals, target audience, and competitive landscape.
I conducted interviews with key stakeholders at Caelestis LLC to define project objectives, understand the unique selling propositions, and identify key performance indicators (KPIs). This was crucial for shaping the brand's voice and visual direction from its inception.
I analyzed competitor websites to identify industry best practices, common user flows, and areas for differentiation. This helped in understanding current market trends and user expectations within the cloud solutions and design space, informing how Caelestis LLC could stand out.
Based on stakeholder insights and industry knowledge, I developed primary user personas to represent Caelestis LLC's target audience:
Dark Theme with Celestial Imagery: To convey innovation, sophistication, and align with the "universe of technology" tagline, establishing a unique visual identity.
Service Categorization: Grouping services logically on the "Services" page for easy scanning and understanding, making complex offerings digestible.
Accordion for FAQ: Implementing an accordion UI for the FAQ page to manage content density and improve readability, providing quick answers for potential clients.
A critical step was to structure the website's content to ensure intuitive navigation and logical progression for users, especially for a brand new entity.
I developed a sitemap to define the main navigation and group related services effectively. The goal was to reduce cognitive load and allow users to quickly find what they need, establishing a clear mental model for the new site.
I mapped out key user flows, such as:
Discovering Services:
User lands on homepage -> navigates to "Services" -> explores specific service details -> initiates contact.
Learning About the Company:
User lands on homepage -> navigates to "About Us" -> explores team and company values.
Finding Answers:
User lands on homepage -> navigates to "FAQ" -> finds answers to common questions.
I sketched out basic layouts for key pages (Homepage, Services, About Us, FAQ) to establish content hierarchy and spatial relationships. This allowed for rapid iteration on layout concepts without getting bogged down in visual details, crucial for building the site's foundation.
The visual design aimed to create a cohesive and memorable brand experience that resonated with Caelestis LLC's identity, establishing their unique presence.
Headings: A bold, modern sans-serif font, Oswald Bold, for strong visual impact and brand recognition.
Body Text: A highly readable sans-serif font, Oswald Light & Extra Light for optimal legibility across devices, ensuring professional communication.
Primary: Deep space grey to evoke a sense of trust, technology, and the cosmos.
Accent: Bright whites for highlights and interactive elements, ensuring contrast and visibility.
High-quality, abstract celestial imagery (galaxies, stars) to reinforce the brand's "universe of technology" theme, creating a distinctive visual language.
I also designed the logo for Caelestis, LLC. It is used both for the website, and their documentations.

Rigorous testing was conducted to ensure the website met all functional and usability requirements before its public launch.
Usability Testing (Informal)
I conducted informal usability tests (interviews) with a small group of target users to identify any friction points or areas for improvement in navigation and content comprehension. Feedback led to minor adjustments in wording and layout, refining the initial user experience.
Cross-Browser & Device Testing
Extensive testing was performed across various browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and devices (iOS, Android, desktop) to ensure consistent performance and visual integrity for a broad audience.
The newly designed Caelestis LLC website successfully achieved its objectives:
Strong Brand Launch: The modern and professional design successfully established Caelestis LLC's brand identity, positioning them as a credible and innovative tech agency from day one.
Positive Initial User Experience: Intuitive navigation and clear content presentation led to a positive initial user journey for new visitors.
Full Responsiveness: The website provides an optimal experience on any device, ensuring broad reach and accessibility from its launch.
This project reinforced the importance of comprehensive foundational work for a new company's digital presence. Key takeaways include:
Holistic Brand Building: The intertwining of UX, visual design, and development is paramount for a successful brand launch.
Early Content Strategy: A detailed content strategy developed in parallel with design can significantly streamline the entire process for new ventures.
Integrate a blog section for thought leadership and SEO to grow organic traffic. (Done)
Develop a client testimonial or case studies section to build further trust and demonstrate successful projects.
Implement a live chat feature for immediate customer support as the client base grows.
This project was a rewarding experience, allowing me to leverage my expertise in UX design to deliver a high-impact digital solution for Caelestis LLC, laying a strong foundation for their future success.
